The Domain Name Registration Game:
For a long time Network Solutions was the only game in town if you wanted to register a domain
name (domain names being those custom web addresses: www.yourname.com).
Those people that make the big web decisions worried about NS
having a monopoly on the registration process and so new companies
have been certified to enter the competition. The good news: prices
are coming down from the already reasonable $35 a year. The bad
news: so far, no bad news.
The latest news is that just recently companies are requiring payment at
the time of registration, so you can't just hold a name for free
for months to see if that big slow corporation wants to park a
money truck in your driveway. |

fee is set for 2 years. The price for the first 2 years is EURO
40,90 (~ USD 42). Renewal will be on a yearly basis for EURO 20,45
(~ USD 21). In case you order more than one domain and not all
can be registered, you will accept and pay for those which can
be registered. You can use your own Name-Servers. A minimum of
2 Name-Servers is required. If you want to use Name-Servers from
CSL, you will be charged EURO 6,14 (~ USD 7) for each Name-Server
and each year. Total amount will be charged immediately in DM
by credit card. Refusal of payment and notice before end of time
period will not be refunded. We will not send an invoice, but
you will get an receipt by email."
